Super Computer makes West Ham United relegation prediction ahead of Premier League clash v Brentford

West Ham United have a 10% chance of relegation from the Premier League this season, according to the Super Computer from FiveThirtyEight.

The Hammers are currently sitting perilously close to the dreaded drop zone and it would hardly be surprising if the Irons got embroiled in a relegation scrap based on current form.

The Super Computer made the bold relegation prediction just before the West Ham United clash against Brentford on December 30, which could be one of David Moyes’ last.

The Super Computer as previously stated gives West Ham United a 10% chance of relegation heading into the Brentford fixture, one which isn’t that bad compared to other clubs in a similar position.

It gives Nottingham Forest the biggest chance of heading back down to the Championship with a 64% chance of relegation.

Reliable?

In general, supercomputers are very powerful computing systems that can perform a vast number of calculations very quickly.

This makes them well-suited for tasks that require the processing of large amounts of data or the solution of complex problems, like the prediction of Premier League relegations.

However, predicting the outcome of a sporting event is a challenging task because it involves a number of unpredictable variables, such as the performance of individual players, injuries, and the effects of weather and other external factors.

As a result, it may be difficult for a computer model, even a supercomputer, to accurately predict the outcome of a sporting event with a high degree of confidence.

With luck, the Super Computers prediction of a 10% West Ham United relegation chance is correct, these seem like decent odds for the team’s current form.

A loss against Brentford on December 30 would ultimately leave the Hammers relegation % in limbo and most should expect that 10% to rise if so.
