Stan Collymore shares his verdict on West Ham United clash v Nottingham Forest

Stan Collymore believes West Ham United will have a fairly “comfortable” afternoon against Nottingham Forest on 25 February.

Collymore confessed that Forest’s woeful away record since the turn of the year gives the Hammers an advantage in the Saturday afternoon clash.

Speaking on TalkSPORT (24 February), Collymore admitted that West Ham United have “real threats” in Michail Antonio and Jarrod Bowen.

“Forest four points on the road since the turn of the year isn’t good,” said Collymore live on TalkSPORT. (24 February)

“I don’t expect them to go to a West Ham that are now going to be scrapping for their lives, I still think that Antonio and Bowen are a real threat.

“They’ve still got options on the bench like Scamacca, who hasn’t hit the ground running but I’m going to say this really measly record on the road is to continue.

“But I’m going for a fairly comfortable afternoon for the Hammers.”

West Ham

Bubbling away.

The Hammers continue to bubble away in their pursuit of Premier League safety and David Moyes simply isn’t taking the team any further than he already has.

Something has to give here and it seems like the Scot is the problem that keeps rearing its ugly head when an inevitable downturn in form occurs.

West Ham United spent a solid £200m this summer and what was supposed to be another breakout campaign has turned into a nightmare.

With different tactics and different talents, Hammers have witnessed the same old Moyes and most fans have come to the conclusion that nothing is changing until he leaves the club.

Sitting in the relegation zone with players like Declan Rice and Lucas Paqueta in your squad just isn’t good enough and there really aren’t any more excuses to keep conjuring up.

A loss to Forest will likely be the final nail in the coffin but regardless of this, Moyes’ time at the London Stadium should be coming to an end.
