West Ham United close to sealing double deals, likely to move for Hans Vanaken again

West Ham are close to sealing double deals for Chelsea wing-back Emerson and Paris Saint-Germain centre-back Thilo Kehrer, as per West Ham Football.

The reliable Hammers source, run by the editor of Claret and Hugh, reported on 16 August that West Ham are “getting close” to completing the deal.

The Hammers have had a bid for Hans Vanaken rejected, but the Hammers are likely to go back for him as the player wants to move.

West Ham Football wrote on Twitter: “Deals for Chelsea wing-back Emerson Palmieri £13m and PSG centre-half Thilo Kehrer £10m + £5m of add ons getting close to get over the line and likely to be completed. £8.5m bid for Club Brugge midfielder Hans Vanaken rejected but West Ham likely to go back as player wants move.”

More to come?

David Moyes wants to bring more quality players to the side, and we can expect the club to remain busy till the final day of the window.

The priority at the moment is sorting the defence, and it seems the Hammers could be getting very good players, if they can land their targets.

Fabrizio Romano has reported on 16 August that West Ham have agreed personal terms with Kehrer, and the German international will be a terrific addition.

West Ham

He is not only a reliable centre-back, but can play the full-back role as well.

Emerson has got Premier League experience, and he will be looking to nail down the left wing-back slot after the London club offloaded Arthur Masuaku this summer.

Vanaken is an interesting option. The 29-year-old is a vastly experienced attacking midfielder who has got 21 caps for his country.

Club Brugge have rejected one bid, but the player wants to move. It remains to be seen how it pans out, but surely the Hammers will have other targets in mind.
