West Ham United chances shared after £25m transfer bid for striker Terem Moffi

West Ham reportedly have a strong chance of signing Lorient striker Terem Moffi and having their bid for him accepted.

According to Sun journalist Alan Nixon [16 January], the Hammers have submitted a £25million bid for the Nigerian forward.

He then responded to questions about the chances of that West Ham offer being accepted as “Strong”.

He wrote on his Patreon, “West Ham’s £25 million bid for Lorient striker Terem Moffi is facing a late threat from Nice.

“Hammers tabled their offer at the weekend after watching powerful Moffi score against Marseille.”

Get it done

West Ham certainly need a game changer to turn their fortunes around as they suffer a very real threat of relegation.

One would not have thought that after signing a striker in the summer the Hammers would need to secure the services of another one in January.

However, the way the season has panned out, they do need further reinforcements in the final third and Moffi could be an important signing for them.

West Ham

At £25million, he won’t be coming cheap so it’s evident that the club has a plan in store for him and Scamacca as both of them are expensive acquisitions.

This could mean that one of the strikers plays behind the other or moves out to the wings to play as an inside forward as well.

The options are endless but it’s important that West Ham do not mess this up and go ahead with the move.

They can even make £10million from the sale of Michael Antonio and it makes sense to spend a little more to sign a quality replacement.
