West Ham United cash reserve depleted for January transfer window
West Ham United may struggle to sign any new players in the January transfer window, according to Claret and Hugh.
The reliable Hammers source wrote on (7 November) that the cash reserves have been “seriously depleted”, and the club may need to sell some of their players to fund moves for new arrivals.
In such a scenario, they are likely to sign players on loan or on cut-price deals with Craig Dawson also being mentioned as someone who could move on.

Inevitable
West Ham United spent over £150million on new signings in the summer, and this situation was inevitable.
David Moyes’ side has struggled badly this season, but unfortunately, he cannot look forward to the January window to strengthen his squad.
The majority of the squad is not on the transfer list at the moment, so it will be really difficult for the club to raise money from player sales.
Dawson could be an option given he nearly moved on in the summer but he won’t fetch enough money, considering his age and contract situation.

Having said that, Moyes probably doesn’t need enough recruitment in January. All he needs to do is find a system from which he can get the best out of his players.
Summer signing Nayef Aguerd hasn’t played a minute in the Premier League, and he will be like a new signing to the club when he will start playing regularly.
Similarly, Lucas Paqueta and Maxwell Cornet have been hit by injuries already, and the duo can make a huge impact in the second half of the season.
