West Ham United captain Declan Rice gets savaged by Ryanair on Twitter

West Ham United captain Declan Rice has been put on blast by budget airline Ryanair on Twitter for his comments about the World Cup.

Rice and England arrived in Qatar on 15 November 2022, presumably not flying by Ryanair and the Hammers captain definitely won’t be after this.

Rice claimed in a video of player arrivals at the England national teams headquarters St. Georges Park that he had brought an extra suitcase for the World Cup, something Ryanair doesn’t think he’ll need.

“Shame the case will end up in Argentina,” said Ryanair via Twitter in response to Rice’s extra suitcase claims.

West Ham

Raised price.

The Hammers won’t want to see Rice leave the London Stadium this summer, but it’s a possibility that could very much happen.

And if the West Ham United captain has a solid tournament in Qatar his price will only go higher, this could work out well in the Irons’s favour.

It’s all well and good wanting to keep one of your star players but just think about what could be done with the £100m+ earned from a Rice deal.

The club’s investment has only got better since the arrival of Czech billionaire Daniel Kretinsky and their transfer tactics this summer were spot on.

It would provide the club with a real chance to completely reinvent the team, something the Hammers ageing defence is drastically in need of.

Obviously, it would be a shame to see Rice go, but sometimes in the modern game, you have got to be realistic.

If West Ham can’t provide the midfielder with top European football next season, it’s only fair that he looks to play somewhere else.
