BT Sport pundit ‘devastated’ for West Ham United wonder Divin Mubama in clash v FCSB
Clive Allen was absolutely gutted for West Ham United sensation Divin Mubama after the young striker came agonisingly close to scoring in the first half against FCSB in Romania on Thursday night.
West Ham could sit back and relax on the evening, they had already secured their path into the next stage of the UEFA Conference League.
Despite the result being meaningless to both teams, Mubama looked fiery, latching onto a cross from fellow wonder Ollie Scales, nearly putting the Hammers ahead.

Speaking during live commentary of the game on BT Sport 3 (3 November, 20:23), BT pundit Allen felt the pain of the youngster who nearly slotted one home on his European debut.
“He’s absolutely devastated,” said a disappointed Allen.
“He hasn’t got the contact required to finish it off, he’s central and got on the end of the cross.
“And in the end the keeper makes a good save.”

Lovely.
It was lovely to see some West Ham United young guns get a run out in the UEFA Europa Conference League clash on Thursday evening.
Divin Mubama and Ollie Scarles were both handed debuts and the pair looked menacing throughout the first 45.
It just goes to show the type of talent the Irons have in their youth ranks and it’s great David Moyes can look to them when needed.
Neither side needed to win the game but it was still a hotly contested first half with both teams building up an abundance of opportunities.
The UEFA Europe Conference League will provide the Hammers with their best shot at silverware this campaign and hopefully, they can make a good run in the competition.
Obviously, it isn’t as exciting as the UEFA Europa League but a fit and firing West Ham first XI is a match for anyone in the competition.
