West Ham United boss David Moyes eyes transfer for £4m-rated Dundee United striker Rory MacLeod
David Moyes reportedly wants West Ham to secure the services of Dundee United’s teenage striker Rory MacLeod in the January transfer window.
According to the Sun [14 January], the Hammers have joined a queue of clubs in order to sign the 16-year-old and a £4million deal could be done.
MacLeod recently broke the record at his club for being the youngest-ever first-team player and is continuing to get game time there.

Not a priority
West Ham need to admit the reality – they’re in a relegation battle and need to use the January window as a way to ensure they avoid the drop.
Going down will have huge financial consequences for the club as they’ve made a number of big-name signings and will have handed them hefty wages.
The decrease in revenue can make it difficult for the Hammers to compete financially with teams as they will have to sell a few of their top earners.

Parachute payments can help, but the likes of Declan Rice, Lucas Paqueta and Gianluca Scamacca are certainly not going to want to play in the second tier.
Prioritising a move for a striker who’s not going to add value to the first team is not what the Hammers need and they do not need to think about it now.
If they want to cash in on Michail Antonio, they must do so, amid interest from Wolves and sign a younger and better attacker who can complement Scamacca in the final third.
