West Ham United board make David Moyes sack decision after 5-0 loss v Fulham
David Moyes is said to retain the full backing of the West Ham United board despite the 5-0 defeat to Fulham, according to The Athletic.
The Irons were embarrassed at Craven Cottage on Sunday 10 December, with a sickness bug said to have reaped havoc throughout the squad.
Moyes’ position is said to not be under threat at this moment and he has the full support of those above him, but his stock among fans is threatening to nosedive again.

This is not the first time Moyes has been in this position, with constant pressure seemingly on his future at the London Stadium despite past successes.
With his contract running up in the summer, there already seems to be an agreement between everyone that he will be moving on when that time comes – if he makes it.

Time running out?
No matter which camp you sit in, it is hard to defend that performance at Craven Cottage, with the players needing to take a lot of blame for what happened.
Moyes is the one who has his job on the line though, and there has to be that level of responsibility that is accepted by the manager with each game that passes.
Losing in a close-fought game where your side gave everything can be accepted after a couple of days, but getting smashed by London rivals without an ounce of fight on show is simply unacceptable.
We have been in this position before of the ‘will they, won’t they’ surrounding Moyes and potentially being sacked, but it looks like it will not be happening any time soon.
It feels as though the Hammers board will never pull the trigger and it could be that we have to wait until his contract runs out in the summer to make the change most people want.
Let’s hope it’s not too late then and we have to deal with many more of these afternoons.
