West Ham United board is desperate for David Moyes to turn it around in sack news
The West Ham United board are desperate for David Moyes to turn things around at the club despite recent Premier League results, according to Claret and Hugh.
Moyes’ job is hanging in the balance at the moment with other managerial candidates potentially readying themselves should the position become available.
Claret and Hugh confessed that one manager who would be keen to take over from Moyes is former Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa.

“It has to be said that the board are desperate to see Moyes turn things around at our long-suffering club,” as quoted by Claret and Hugh.
“There is no queue of replacement possible bosses and everybody at board level have their fingers crossed that we can negotiate our way through the present problems.
“Marcelo Bielsa has been named as one possible and we understand from insiders that he would be ready to take over. But the board have experience of him at interview level when appointing Slaven Bilic rather than the 67-year-old Argentine and were not impressed with his zero knowledge of English. That remains the case.
“A known eccentric, he is not being seen as a man who could instil the sort of spirit into the underachieving squad anyway.
“With the likes of Pochetinno and Tuchel looking for clubs involved in Champions League football that leaves the likes of Bielsa and Sean Dyche and neither appeal.”

Interesting.
So it seems like West Ham United are going to back Moyes until the very end or at least until after their next few crucial Premier League games.
This could prove to be a foolish move but Moyes has arguably earned the right to get a chance to prove himself after what he’s done for the club.
Nevertheless, the decision could be seen as the club sleepwalking into a relegation fight, especially with the team’s around the Hammers picking up points recently.
Leeds United, Brentford, Wolves and Everton are now all must-win games for Moyes and if he fails to deliver he may leave the club’s hierarchy with little choice.
It’s a shame things are transpiring like this but in the harsh and cruel modern game, twists and turns are expected and if the club wants to progress, then sacking Moyes may be the right call.
Time is certainly running out for the Scot and they don’t come much bigger than Leeds United on January 4.
