West Ham United eye move to sign Noah Okafor in January

West Ham have set sights on Noah Okafor in January and they have asked for information from Red Bull Salzburg, according to a report from Tuttomercatoweb.

The 22-year-old has been in “excellent” form, and he has dazzled in the Champions League this season. London rivals Arsenal and Chelsea are also in the hunt for his signature.

The report suggests that the Hammers need to pay around £30m to secure the signing of the Switzerland international who is keen to move to the Premier League.

Much needed

Okafor has enjoyed a superb start to the campaign where he has scored 10 goals in all competitions so far.

He has been picked for the Swiss national team for the World Cup in Qatar, and if he performs well, it could impact his asking price ahead of the January window.

He is a versatile forward who can play in attacking midfield as also as a striker. Blessed with pace, and fantastic finishing skills, he could be perfect for West Ham.

West Ham

The Hammers do have a wealth of attacking midfielders but Okafor could still be a very good addition.

West Ham spent big in the summer transfer window but the results have been very disappointing for them, and David Moyes is now under pressure at the moment to save his job.

It won’t be easy though to lure him away to the London Stadium, especially when Arsenal and Chelsea are involved.

The January window is crucial for them, but clubs are likely to take a hard look at him at the Word Cup before making any final move.
