West Ham United ban Tim Steidten from dressing room amid David Moyes sack verdict
West Ham United have banned Tim Steidten from the first-team dressing room and training ground as speculation mounts over David Moyes’ future, according to the Daily Mail.
Writing on their website (2 May), the news outlet report that the technical director has been told not to be present at the first-team locations as his presence is deemed “inappropriate” due to him leading the search for Moyes’ replacement.
Moyes is expected to leave the club when his contract expires at the end of the season, and Steidten has already begun the process of replacing him with the club holding talks with Julen Lopetegui, Paulo Fonseca and Ruben Amorim in recent times.
More signs point to David Moyes leaving West Ham United
While the Hammers continue to downplay reports that a decision has been made on the future of Moyes as manager of the club beyond this season, more and more things are pointing towards that being the case.
It’s pretty clear that if a new deal was going to be offered or agreed upon then it would be well on the way, with only three games remaining of the season.
The Hammers are playing for European football but it seems highly unlikely they’ll get it considering their fixtures and situation around them, so most games are seen as dead rubbers among the fans.

That has seen the search for a replacement step up with offers even made to out-of-work bosses, and if Steidten is the man leading the charge for that then it does make sense to keep him and Moyes separate.
But it just confirms a decision has been made, and it’s probably one that Moyes doesn’t like. Rather than allowing things to boil over, a bit of separation is just what the doctor ordered and everyone can go their separate ways this summer amicably instead.
In other West Ham news, the Hammers want to sign a European “wonderkid” with his club willing to sanction a deal.
