West Ham United and Tottenham fans set to unite amid behind-the-scenes developments
West Ham United and Tottenham fans are coming together to hold a join demonstration against the two clubs’ ticket price increases, the Football Supporters’ Association has said.
The FSA posted on their website (17 October) to state that the two sets of supporters will demonstrate alongside one another before the Irons face Spurs at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on 19 October.
Hammers fans are protesting rising season ticket and matchday pricing across the board, as well as changes to young supporters and concessions’ allocations in certain sections of the London Stadium.
Tottenham supporters, meanwhile, have also hit out against their club scrapping new season ticket discounts for pensioners, and will join the Irons to voice their opposition to older fans being targeted.
West Ham and Tottenham show unity in the stands
The board at the London Stadium have been roundly slammed by Hammers fans after their decision to overhaul ticket prices this season, with that overhaul being an increase almost entirely across the board.
With concessions and children being made to feel the pinch more than those aged between 18 and 64, it’s hardly surprising to see supporters rising up in opposition against the “disgraceful” price hikes.

The Irons and Tottenham occupy the two biggest club stadiums in the country’s biggest and richest city, both of which are often utilised for sell-out events in other sports, including NFL and athletics.
A joint protest between two sets of fans who historically don’t get along (to say the least) could result in a powder-keg atmosphere ahead of the match this weekend.
With many a pundit looking forward to what could happen on the field in North London, supporters in both the home and away ends will be quick to remind the clubs of the mistakes they’ve made off it.
In other West Ham news, one Hammer star’s transfer value could be maximised after new developments away from East London.
