West Ham United and Crystal Palace learn transfer valuation of Bristol City midfielder Alex Scott

West Ham and Crystal Palace reportedly checked on Bristol City midfielder Alex Scott recently as they’re eyeing a summer transfer.

According to the Sun [18 February], the Championship club have slapped a £20million price tag on the 19-year-old.

However, neither of the Premier League sides are going to go close to their valuation of the Englishman in the summer.

West Ham

Too expensive

There’s no way West Ham are going to pay that kind of money for Scott and it’s a good thing that they’re not even considering it.

Scott is a decent player but he’s still a big fish in a small pond and hasn’t even been tested outside the second tier yet.

If his valuation is halved, then the Hammers hierarchy could take some interest in him but as this valuation, it can be written off as a nothing link.

West Ham

Declan Rice appears set to be leaving the club in the summer and while his sale will bring in a lot of money, it makes no sense to spend that kind of money on Scott.

That said, new midfielders are going to be a priority as they may even look to replace Tomas Soucek who’s been extremely underwhelming since the start of last season.

Rice himself was spotted fuming at him on the field of play and it can be said that many West Ham fans have felt the same way about the Czech midfielder.
