West Ham United among clubs interested in Chelsea forward Hakim Ziyech who looks set to leave this summer

West Ham United are among a whole host of clubs interested in signing Chelsea forward Hakim Ziyech this summer, according to Jeunes Footeux.

The Hammers have been linked with the Moroccan international before with ExWHUemployee reporting on 30 January that the East Londoners had held discussions with Chelsea over a potential double loan swoop for Conor Gallagher and Ziyech on the last day of the window.

Ziyech, who starred for Morocco in the World Cup in Qatar has struggled for opportunities at Stamford Bridge and looked set to join Paris Saint-Germain on deadline day but for the Blues to submit the wrong documents before the 11 pm deadline.

And according to Jeunes Footeux, the French champions are set to try for the Moroccan star once again this summer but the playmaker has “several keys” in the Premier League, La Liga and Turkey with West Ham United, Fulham and Tottenham among the Premier League clubs interested in his services.

The report goes on to reveal that Ziyech could be transferred for an amount oscillating around 15-20m euros [£13m-£18m] or a loan with an option to buy could even suffice.

Unlikely

Ziyech’s next move will certainly be the biggest of his career and the last major move with him entering his prime years and it’s highly unlikely that West Ham will be able to secure his services, considering the uncertainty surrounding the club this summer, with players and manager alike set for possible changes.

The forward will be thinking to play at an elite level for which the Hammers certainly won’t be around for next season, and while they still harbour hopes of winning the Europa Conference League, Champions League football will be high on the 30-year-olds agenda as he reaches the latter stages of his career.

West Ham

Signing the Moroccan certainly feels an attractive proposition for West Ham United but they haven’t even secured their Premier League safety yet which should be a huge priority if they want to attract the biggest stars next summer.

However, providing they do stay in the top flight, there are other priorities in the squad which need to be addressed with the likes of Declan Rice, Angelo Ogbonna and Michail Antonio amongst a possible host of players all set to leave.
