AC Milan are ready to hijack Torino’s transfer for West Ham United attacking midfielder Nikola Vlasic, according to Calcio Mercato Web.
Stefano Pioli’s AC Milan are closely monitoring Vlasic who has been exceeding expectations for Torino this season in Serie A since his loan move.
The report suggests Vlasic is valued at around €20m (£17.5m), however, the grenades (Torino) have a right of redemption to sign the midfielder.
“The Croatian playmaker is doing very well on loan with the Torino shirt and has a valuation of around 20 million euros,” states the report as quoted by CMW.
“The grenades have a right of redemption on the 18 bonuses included for the talent owned by West Ham, but if they did not opt for his stay, Milan would be ready to join to finally give Pioli Vlasic, a player followed for a long time by his side. of the Rossoneri transfer market men.”

This one seemed like a foregone conclusion and a massive transfer blunder by West Ham United until Torino chairman Urbano Cairo made some bizarre comments when quizzed about Vlasic.
“There are no assumptions about the transfer market, we are on matchday 14 and it’s early. He’s doing very well and I like him, but the championship is long,” he said as quoted by Tuttomercatoweb.
Judging by those comments the Croatian’s move to Torino could easily be on the ropes in months’ time, maybe they can’t afford his wage bill.
This leaves the door wide open for AC Milan to make their own bid, or for the Hammers to retain Vlasic as their own come to the end of the campaign.
Vlasic did, however, struggle during his time at West Ham United and if he couldn’t convince David Moyes in the past it’s unlikely he could now.
The 25-year-old’s playing style probably doesn’t fit in well with the fast-paced nature of the Premier League and this may be why he’s thriving in the Italian top flight.
Vlasic’s transfer story will likely continue to twist and turn as the season progresses but it seems Torino aren’t fully set on making a move for him just yet.
