David Moyes responds to jeers from supporters following West Ham United v Crystal Palace
David Moyes admits it was “disappointing” West Ham failed to beat Crystal Palace, but insists he did not hear the boos from the stands.
United supporters made their displeasure known after Sunday’s (3 December) 1-1 Premier League draw at the London Stadium.
The result ended a four-game winning run in all competitions and leaves the Irons ninth in the top flight, three points off the European spots.

Asked what he made of the jeers from the home fans, Moyes is quoted by The Athletic [4 December] as saying: “I didn’t hear that.
“A lot of supporters today understood Thursday night (a 1-0 away win against Backa Topola) and today.
“Before today, we won two Premier League games on the bounce, so I didn’t sense that [frustration]. It’s disappointing we didn’t win, but no more than that.”
Huge month
West Ham may have won four in a row prior to the weekend, but performances have hardly been great.
Indeed, it required a late Tomas Soucek goal in three of those matches, while the other win in that run was also settled by one goal.
That said, picking up victories by any means necessary is the most important thing, so the constant criticism aimed at Moyes is a little harsh.
Having so many games in December could be a good thing or a bad thing for the Scotsman, ultimately depending on results.

United have a chance to continue their progress in the EFL Cup, having already advanced in the Europa League, while climbing the Premier League.
Squad depth will be vital, which is what Moyes was eluding to when mentioning the exertions of the midweek trip to Serbia.
Focus must now turn to picking up a positive result on Thursday [7 December] when taking on rivals Tottenham.
Defeat in that one, and the jeers from the away fans will be louder than what we heard at the weekend.
In other West Ham news, a journalist has suggested a player may be “torn” over whether to depart London Stadium next year.
