Andy Gray criticised West Ham ace Lucas Paqueta for his part in the second goal scored by Fulham in Sunday's (14 April) defeat.

Paqueta was caught on the ball inside his own half in an attack that culminated in Alex Iwobi squaring for Andreas Pereira to score his second.

The Brazil international was also dispossessed for Fulham's opener, albeit he appeared to be shoved off the ball.

Analysing the second goal for beIN SPORTS [14 April, 4:19pm], Gray said: "Look at Paqueta here, messing around, trying to do it on his own.

"He loses the ball and now you're in trouble. Real trouble. Pereira continues with his run and seals the win."

Lucas Paqueta blamed as West Ham lose to Fulham

Paqueta had an off-day for West Ham in the disappointing loss at London Stadium, but so did everyone in a claret and blue top.

The 26-year-old, who was this week told he can become the best player in the world, was unable to help the Irons break down Fulham.

That said, Paqueta did still create two key chances, as well as completing a game-high four dribbles and getting away one shot on target [WhoScored].

As for the second goal, the Brazilian should have been getting the ball out of his feet quicker, but there was still plenty of time to halt the attack.

Fulham quite simply did a number on West Ham as they picked up a rare away victory in this fixture.

A repeat of this performance, from both Paqueta and the rest of the side, and there will be no chance of a comeback versus Bayer Leverkusen.
