Rob Newman recommends Darwin Nunez to West Ham after Raphinha blow
West Ham have turned attention to Benfica attacker Darwin Nunez after Leeds United refused to sell Raphinha, according to the Daily Mirror.
The newspaper reported in their print edition today (31 January) that the Hammers were keen to pay £50million for the Brazilian, but a move was not possible, and Rob Newman has recommended Nunez, 22, to David Moyes.
However, West Ham will need to offer bids in excess of £50million to have a chance of landing the Uruguayan international from the Portuguese giants before the transfer window shuts tonight at 11 pm.

Chance?
Nunez has 15 league goals to his name in 16 games this season, with three others in six Champions League appearances, and the Irons could do with such a player in their bid to boost their chances of finishing in the top-four.
However, whether they deem him worthy of a £50million bid remains to be seen given that he is untested in the Premier League.
Nevertheless, the South American clearly knows where the back of the net is after ending last season with 11 goals and 10 assists across the league and Europa League.
Nunez can play as a striker, a number 10 and on the left wing, and such versatility would come in handy at the London Stadium.

They need to make a decision pretty quick as Benfica will want to get in a replacement before the window shuts should they decide to sell their most-prized asset.
West Ham always love to leave it late in the window before doing business, and fans will be hoping much-needed recruitment is made in the coming hours.
