West Ham transfer news as Inter Milan manager Simone Inzaghi makes contact with Gianluca Scamacca

Inter Milan manager Simone Inzaghi has spoken with Gianluca Scamacca as he appears likely to leave West Ham, according to Calciomercato Web.

The Italian publication reported on its website on Friday (4 August) that Inzaghi is willing to bet on the Italian after the departure of Romelu Lukaku.

The Milan outfit will not be signing the Belgian permanently and want the 24-year-old at the London Stadium to lead their line next season.

Exits galore

There have been eight departures at West Ham this summer and not even one new first-team signing.

Declan Rice’s transfer saga took up all the time in the world and nothing went on behind the scenes to line up replacements.

Now, the Scamacca exit is taking up so much time and it remains to be seen what happens with Roma as well as Atalanta keen on signing him.

This should not mean that the Hammers take more time to work on incomings as these two things need to happen simultaneously.

Everyone knows that they’ve got the money to spend as Rice brought in a record fee for an English player.

Whatever happens over Scamacca’s future, David Moyes will be fuming over the lack of incomings.

In other West Ham news, the club have now opened advanced talks with a Premier League player who appears to be open on leaving his side this summer.
