West Ham are becoming increasingly frustrated by the delays in Arsenal's move for Declan Rice, as they are still yet to have signed contracts to formalise the completion of the deal, according to Sky Sports.

Keith Downie has shared information that Arsenal's lawyers are causing delays with the paperwork in the transfer of Rice, after the £105million deal was agreed eight days ago. West Ham are becoming frustrated and are waiting to sign the contracts.

As far as West Ham are aware, Rice has passed a medical at Arsenal, but is still yet to officially join the club. Despite growing frustrations, the deal is still expected to be completed "sooner or later", but West Ham want to get on with their own business.

It is shared that the Hammers are wanting to begin making moves to bring players to the club, which they would be using the money from the Rice deal to help.

This deal could damage relationships

It is always useful for football clubs to share good working relationships, especially when it comes to transfer business. Loan deals as well as permanent transfers are usually aided by positive relations, and this deal will be doing nothing to help those between Arsenal and West Ham.

Arsenal's continued delays are reportedly down to their lawyers drawing up paperwork, with West Ham waiting to sign contracts. Their frustration is not a good sign for future business between the two London clubs.

When the deal for Rice was agreed upon eight days ago, it was expected to be a formality with Rice very keen on joining his new clubs, but it has become a stickier situation and may cause relationships to sour.

The England international is still set to join the Gunners this summer, with both clubs' staff both on the pitch and behind the scenes likely to be waiting for the deal to get over the line.
