West Ham target Jesse Lingard open to Everton move as last resort
West Ham target Jesse Lingard is reportedly open to moving to Everton but only as a last resort.
According to the Sun, despite the optimism in Goodison Park about signing the England international, he sees them as a backup option.
Due to their financial woes, the Toffees remain on the backburner while West Ham are joined in the race to sign the 29-year-old by Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle.

Move on
The Hammers do not learn their lessons in the transfer window, especially when it comes to their pursuit of Lingard.
He did not seem overly keen on moving to the London Stadium last summer and even in the January window.
Even now, he seems keen on moving elsewhere, preferably to clubs that will pay him higher wages than the Irons can afford.
It appears that money is his main concern as he’s not even joining Everton due to their financial woes even though he’s got a house on Merseyside.
We cannot understand why he would be against a return to the Hammers, given the fact that he played some of his best football under David Moyes.
He was one of the Premier League’s best attackers in terms of goal involvements since he moved to the London Stadium on loan and that even put him in contention for the Euro 2020 squad.
