West Ham Super Fans have flocked to a post on the West Ham Zone Facebook page about Jesse Lingard after it was revealed that Manchester United had turned down an enquiry for the player.

ESPN claim that the Red Devils turned down West Ham’s advances as this saga continues to drag on.

The 28-year-old spent the second half of the 2020/21 season on loan with the Hammers and was a revelation. However, they have so far failed to bring him in permanently, and it looks as if he could end up staying at Old Trafford.

This really annoyed our Super Fans, who now want their club to move on and sign someone else.

West Ham Super Fans bang on!

This saga has been an absolute joke, and if Lingard wanted to join the Irons permanently, he would have been signed already, while the Hammers haven’t pushed that hard.

Ultimately, Said Benrahma has played as the number ten and has scored twice and also provided two assists in his first two league games, so perhaps the Hammers don’t need Lingard or anyone else?

Either way, it is very clear that our Super Fans have had enough of this awful saga, and if Lingard wants to sit on the bench at Old Trafford, then he can be our guest.

David Moyes revived Lingard’s career, and it appears as if he is willing to throw that all away to play backup to the likes of Jadon Sancho and Mason Greenwood.

Therefore, it is time that the Hammers move on and look to spend the money elsewhere.

In other West Ham news, the Hammers have lined up another major transfer deal.
