West Ham Super Fans have flocked to a post on the West Ham Zone Facebook page about the London Stadium.

Martin Samuel claimed in the Daily Mail that the Hammers should buy the ground and then bulldoze it to make way for a new stadium and save British Athletics.

However, our Super Fans don’t believe that this is possible and targeted both Samuel and the board.

Interesting idea.

The London Stadium has been West Ham’s home now since the start of the 2016/17 season, and there is certainly something not quite right about it.

The fans are too far away from the pitch, and even though the ground has been changed to make it feel more like a football stadium, it was designed as an Olympics venue, and it still feels like that.

Unfortunately, we can’t see why the current regime would ever buy the stadium and then demolish it.

The Hammers pay just £2.5million per year in rent, so why would they decide to commit money to buy the ground [The Independent]?

They also wanted to move to the London Stadium for a long time, so we can’t see Samuel’s suggestion ever happening under this current regime [Hammers United].

Cleary, our Super Fans also believe that this is not going to happen while David Sullivan, David Gold, and Karen Brady remain in place.

In other West Ham news, Michael Owen has made his Rapid Wien prediction.
