West Ham United are still yet to make a major signing with their Premier League season getting underway this afternoon.
David Moyes is travelling to Newcastle with the bare bones already, with the likes of Jesse Lingard not returning to the London Stadium.
That saga looks as though it is set to continue even further, with the door being opened once again for his permanent signature.
ExWHUemployee reported on Saturday afternoon that Lingard has changed his mind on a potential move to the Irons.
After attempting to stay and fight for his place at Old Trafford, that hasn’t worked out over pre-season.
It was then suggested that the Irons are expected to launch an offer in the coming days and there is renewed optimism over the deal.
Although there are no certainties surrounding any move, you have to expect that the Hammers are in a great position given their relationship with the player from last season.
We asked our esteemed panel of West Ham Super Fans over on Facebook for their opinion on the potential deal, and they were clear in their response.
The majority called for less talk and more action, as they simply don’t want to go another week missing out on a potentially huge deal for Lingard.
