West Ham are set to use Felipe Anderson’s wages to hand Declan Rice a new deal, according to The Sun.
The report states that Anderson’s exit will free up funds on the payroll budget and some of it will be used to offer the England international in a bid to get him to stay on at the London Stadium.
The Brazilian was understood to be on £100,000 per week but that money can now be put to good use.

In a post-pandemic market, it’s unlikely that any club will offer close to £100million for the midfielder anyway, but it’s better to have him tied down for a longer duration than he already is.
On reading the report, Hammers fans on Facebook were elated and want the club to do everything he wants in order to get him to stay.
Here’s what they said:

Spot on
They’re absolutely correct. We must do everything we can to keep hold of Rice. He is our best player and is on the cusp of being world class.
Should he want to leave at any time in the future, we’re sure that the club will comply and charge a fortune in transfer fees.
That would benefit Rice too, as he would get a huge signing on bonus, and would also help the club financially.
As of now, he deserves to be our highest earner and we have to comply with his wishes as he can take us to the next level.
