West Ham Super Fans have flocked to an engagement post on the West Ham Zone’s Facebook page about David Moyes’ comments on the upcoming season.

Speaking to Sky Sports, the Hammers boss revealed that he wants to improve on last season’s sixth-place finish.

However, with the squad arguably weaker than it was last season, our Super Fans are not convinced and believe that the Irons need to sign some more players to have any chance of replicating the 2020/21 campaign.

It was great to see Moyes so confident and positive about the coming season; however, after only adding Alphonse Areola to his squad and losing Jesse Lingard, our Super Fans are not so convinced.

The Irons currently have just four senior centre-backs and one senior striker, so if one of Michail Antonio, Craig Dawson, Angelo Ogbonna, Issa Diop, or Winston Reid get injured, the Hammers could be in trouble.

Therefore, it is no surprise to see that our Super Fans are worried about the season ahead.

Moyes deserves great credit for staying positive and setting himself and his squad big ambitions, but unless he receives the required support from the board, we can’t see the Hammers coming close to sixth this year.

It is clear that our Super Fans also feel the same way, and it is now down to David Gold and David Sullivan to back their manager.

In other West Ham news, the club could miss out on two new additions.
