West Ham stopper Darren Randolph to join Aston Villa on loan – Alex Crook
West Ham United goalkeeper Darren Randolph is set to join Aston Villa on loan, according to Alex Crook.
The talkSPORT journalist shared the major transfer update with the imminent exit set to go through for the Irishman.
Crook insisted that Randolph is set to arrive at Villa Park as a back-up for Emi Martinez under Steven Gerrard.

Writing on his personal Twitter account, Crook shared the major update with the deal set to be completed.
“Another pending arrival at Aston Villa, who I understand are set to sign West Ham goalkeeper Darren Randolph on loan as back-up for Emi Martinez,” he wrote.
Smart.
Villa are looking to strengthen their squad, and it looks as though they are going to be splashing the cash on numerous players.
Randolph has been looking for football and has completed loan spells at the likes of Middlesbrough already in recent years.
This makes that move strange, though, with Villa in the same position as the Irons, with little first-team minutes available.
Martinez is going to be starting every single week, but the Hammers won’t complain given they have some wages now freed up to use for incomings of their own.
With Alphonse Areola behind Lukasz Fabianski, there is no need for another senior keeper on the books so this makes sense for all parties.
Good luck.
