West Ham now face Youssef En-Nesyri competition from Arsenal

The transfer saga of Youssef En-Nesyri, who has been heavily linked with West Ham could drag on until the summer of 2022, according to a report from La Colina de Nervion.

They claim that Arsenal view the 24-year-old as the ideal replacement for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, while the Hammers have tried to sign him recently and that the “soap opera” is set to drag on.

The Irons made an offer to sign En-Nesyri in the last January transfer window after they sold Sebastien Haller, but they couldn’t agree a deal with the La Liga side, and now, they could face some serious competition [David Ornstein].

Arsenal to beat the Hammers to En-Nesyri?

Despite being in a bad way at the moment, Arsenal clearly have money to burn, and you would have thought that they could still attract a player like En-Nesyri to the Emirates.

However, if the Irons want him, then you would think this would be their best opportunity to try and sign him.

The Hammers are in the Europa League finishing sixth last season and they must use that to their advantage.

They have a great squad, and David Moyes is doing a superb job, so if things stay on a good level until January, then it would be easy to say that the Irons have a good chance of beating the Gunners to En-Nesyri.

The Moroccan forward has a good goalscoring record for Sevilla, having bagged 32 goals in 81 games for the club, and he has been described as “amazing” by The Sports Wave in the past.

Many would love to see him at the London Stadium, and if the Irons have the funds, they should go all out and try to bring him to east London before Arsenal make their move.

In other West Ham news, one Hammers signing nearly moved to another in a swap deal instead of the Irons.
