West Ham still want Fabio Carvalho after failed Liverpool move

West Ham are still not giving up on the chase to sign Fulham youngster Fabio Carvalho, according to reliable journalist Alex Crook.

According to reports from 90 Min, the likes of Leeds, Arsenal and Southampton along with the Hammers are all keen to sign the 19-year-old young talent.

His contract is set to expire in the summer. He was linked with a move to Liverpool on the deadline day but the deal collapsed [The Atheltic].

West Ham

Fabrizio Romano has tweeted that Liverpool have new direct contact scheduled with the player’s camp in February and that both the clubs are looking to find a solution.

And yet, Crook claims that a move to West Ham is still a “possibility” for the exciting teenage winger. He adds that two other Fulham players – Antonee Robinson and Tosin Adarabioyo – are also being considered.

“They’re definitely keeping tabs on a few Football League players for the summer,” said Crook to GiveMeSport.

“They’re looking at a few Fulham players – Fabio Carvalho, Antonee Robinson and Tosin Adarabioyo. All of those, I think, are a possibility.

Unlikely

Carvalho would be a stellar addition for the club, but the move seems unlikely.

The 19-year-old has scored seven goals and provided four assists in the Championship this season, and he is highly rated by the club.

West Ham didn’t try to stop Liverpool from signing him in January, and doubts remain whether they are at all keen to land him.

West Ham

The Reds are certain to bring him to the club in the summer on a free transfer, and West Ham have to move in now to scupper the deal.

Based on West Ham’s January activities, it seems they are targeting to sign heavyweight players like Raphinha and David Nunez, rather than taking a gamble on Carvalho.

Having said that the door has been left open for other clubs to take advantage after Liverpool failed to land him on deadline day.
