West Ham star Jarrod Bowen proves worth to Thomas Tuchel amid selfless England act vs Latvia
West Ham skipper Jarrod Bowen proved his worth as an asset to Thomas Tuchel and England on Tuesday.
Karren Brady was pleased to see Bowen in the England squad for the most recent international break, despite his previous struggles under Tuchel.
These continued against Wales as Bowen failed to make his presence felt in a routine victory for the Three Lions at Wembley.
Bowen still levelled his England cap count with Scott Parker on 18, but that wouldn’t have been the only action the forward wanted to complete.
The Hammers star missed out on the starting 11 again in Latvia, yet Bowen was able to demonstrate his value on the international stage.

Jarrod Bowen played key role in Eberechi Eze goal vs Latvia
Bowen is up there with Mohamed Salah for quality right wingers in the Premier League right now.
The 28-year-old has always been a consistent figure at the London Stadium and deserves more of a chance for his country.
He is fighting against Bukayo Saka for a starting spot, and that is always going to be a difficult battle for the ex-Hereford youngster.

If the Irons captain wants to earn a starting role, he needs to take advantage of every chance that comes his way for the Three Lions.
Bowen didn’t do that against Wales, but showcased what sort of player and person he is as Eberechi Eze secured a 5-0 win for England.
The West Ham man was highly involved in the build-up for the goal before making himself available in space for a cutback.
Eze opted to cut inside and get his own shot away, which Bowen leapt over with both feet in the air to avoid blocking his own man’s effort.
Another player may have attempted to take a touch or guide it towards goal themselves, instead, the former Hull City man proved just how selfless he can be.
It was a piece of quality that was praised by Lee Dixon on ITV’s commentary.
West Ham man Bowen must show selfish side more for England
It is all well and good to show yourself as a great teammate by jumping over the ball, but that won’t help Bowen start more under Tuchel.
He needs to be more demanding and show the form that every West Ham fan knows he has in his locker.

The winger showed that in the second half against Latvia by cutting in off the right and ignoring runners to get a shot off.
It was terrible and went miles wide…
This won’t be an ideal picture to paint for Tuchel, but it is the kind of behaviour that could benefit Bowen if he does it more often for the Three Lions.
It will be interesting to see how his minutes change now that England has qualified for the World Cup and what that means for his spot in the squad.
