West Ham star Declan Rice names top five Premier League midfielders
West Ham midfielder Declan Rice has named his top five Premier League players in his position in a new video with BT Sport.
Rice is considered as one of the best midfielders in the division currently and has attracted the interest of top clubs such as Manchester United, Man City and Chelsea for a potential £100m this summer [Telegraph].
The 23-year-old was asked in a recent interview with BT Sport ahead of the weekend fixture against Newcastle to name his top five midfielders in the league currently and he made a few interesting picks.

Rice started by naming Chelsea star Mateo Kovacic, who he has played against at both club and international level, before labelling Man City duo Bernardo Silva and Rodri too.
Paul Pogba then was revealed as ‘one of the top three players I’ve ever played against’ as the fourth choice, before Rice completed his list with Brighton star Yves Bissouma.
Top five
Many would argue that Rice deserves a spot in that top five, but the England international was humble enough to not include himself in the rankings.
Some top names missed out though, with the likes of Kevin De Bruyne, N’Golo Kante, Jorginho and more not mentioned.

But for Rice to be mentioned with the names that just he mentioned shows how far he has come along in his career and that West Ham have a star on their hands.
The Hammers are a club that aren’t supposed to be in the conversation for having players that are top five in their position, but it’s a credit to Moyes and his squad that they’re performing at those levels.
Rice is only going to get better too, so don’t be surprised to see other players mention him in their lists going forward when asked.
