West Ham set to open fresh talks with Ben Johnson and Jarrod Bowen

West Ham are reportedly set to open fresh contract talks with English duo Ben Johnson and Jarrod Bowen ahead of the summer window.

According to Claret and Hugh, the Hammers are keen on retaining their services and will start talks in the next two or three weeks.

Both players have been subject to transfer interest from clubs that will compete in the Champions League next season.

Johnson has been linked with Tottenham while Bowen is believed to be on Liverpool’s radar as they’re eyeing attacking reinforcements.

The defender is currently operating on academy wages and is in line to earn at least £30k a week when talks resume.

Get it done

Bowen and Johnson are expected to be the future of West Ham football club and they must be retained at all costs.

The duo have become key first-team players and have risen to prominence this past season.

Few would’ve thought that Bowen would have been in the discussion for Team of the Year as his numbers are right there with some of the best in the league.

Johnson too, started the season as a fringe player, and then went on to become the first choice option ahead of Vladimir Coufal.

Getting these two to sign new deals will send a message to other players that are considering an exit and that should only be seen as a positive for the club.
