West Ham sensation Mipo Odubeko set to leave this summer

West Ham sensation Mipo Odubeko is reportedly set to leave the club this summer on a loan or permanent basis.

According to All Nigeria Soccer, the Hammers hierarchy has decided that the 19-year-old continues his development elsewhere and that could be on a temporary deal as well.

They believe that Premier League 2 may be too easy for him and senior football would be ideal for his career progression.

Sell for the right price

If the Hammers hierarchy have decided that he’s not good enough, then so be it, but they must not let him leave for cheap.

His deal runs out next summer and if he’s ready to play first-team football elsewhere then surely he will command a decent fee.

Hopefully, there is a market for the player as he’s now overcome his injury issues and is ready to take the next step in his career.

His goal scoring record on loan at Doncaster Rovers was woeful as he bagged just two in 16 appearances and that perhaps played a major role in why the decision makers at West Ham decided to let him go.

If he’s leaving on loan, he surely must pen a new deal as he cannot afford to leave for free next summer with the Hammers only being due a compensation.

The club cannot afford to make the same mistakes from the past and they must get good amounts for all players they eventually part ways with.
