West Ham send scouts to track Nottingham Forest attacker Brennan Johnson

West Ham have reportedly sent scouts to track Nottingham Forest forward Brennan Johnson over a potential summer move.

According to ExWHUemployee, the Hammers have been tracking him for a while and still remain keen on securing his services.

The 20-year-old has led the line on occasion for the Championship side this season and is on the club's radar.

Ex said on the West Ham Way podcast, "Two Nottingham Forest players are still on the radar and have been scouted.

"One of them is Brennan Johnson. He's a Welsh international. Very dangerous.

"He's been leading the line for Notts Forest this season."

Worth it

The Hammers have cast their scouting net in the Championship and it certainly has paid off for them.

Johnson is a classic example of another such player and we believe that he'll be a quality addition to this side.

He can also play as a winger or an attacking midfielder, giving David Moyes plenty of options in the final third.

The 20-year-old should not even be that expensive and is expected to be available for a fee in the region of £20million. [DailyMail]

That fits perfectly into the Hammers' transfer kitty and they must do everything they can to sign him in the summer.
