Sam Allardyce drops worrying relegation verdict for West Ham and David Moyes
Sam Allardyce is worried about West Ham and David Moyes’ future in the Premier League with the club languishing just above the dreaded drop zone.
Moyes and the Hammers sunk to a woeful 4-0 defeat at the hands of Brighton on 4 March away at the American Express Community Stadium.
Allardyce urged Moyes and his players to find their way out of “trouble” with the Premier League campaign getting into its nitty and gritty stage.

“All season they’ve been down there, that’s the trouble, that’s the worry,” said Allardyce live on TalkSPORT. (07:43, 6 March)
“That’s the concern, now it’s getting to the nitty gritty of the season, you’ve got no more time, time is running out and the pressure builds on the manager, the pressure builds on the players.
“The manager’s job is to find a way out of it and David at this moment in time hasn’t found that or the players, so the players need to stand up for themselves and the manager needs to guide them in the right direction and hopefully they can get themselves out of trouble.”

Crisis.
West Ham and Moyes are going through a bit of a crisis and it’s hard to see how the Scot is still clinging onto his job at the London Stadium.
Moyes reverted back to his negative and stale tactics against Brighton after the promising performances against Nottingham Forest and Manchester United.
It’s tough to see such a talented squad go to waste and this is mainly down to the way Moyes sets up his team and deploys his tactics.
The Brighton performance was appalling and it should have been a wake-up call to the West Ham board to do the right thing and sack Moyes.
David Sullivan may not be overly keen on the options he has to replace Moyes but at this point, a fresh clean slate seems like the only way to avoid relegation.
At this point, Moyes is living off the good work he has done in previous seasons at the Hammers because, on the team’s current form, most Premier League managers would have gotten the boot.
