West Ham remain keen on Youssef En-Nesyri

West Ham remain keen on signing Sevilla striker Youssef En-Nesyri in the summer according to a report from Planet Sport.

Journalist Graeme Bailey writes that the Hammers could face strong competition from Arsenal, and there is a chance the Sevilla star could land up in north London.

The London outfit failed in their attempt to sign the 24-year-old in 2021, and it would take around £40 million to secure his signature.

Superb signing

Signing a striker is a priority for David Moyes in the summer, after the Hammers failed to do that in the January window.

For the time being, till the end of the season, Moyes is left with no option but to rely heavily on Michail Antonio who remains the lone striker at the club.

The Moroccan “top prospect” would be a superb signing for the club. He has been a consistent performer for the La Liga club, and West Ham are his long-term admirer.

Last season he managed 24 goals in all competitions. This season, he has managed just three goals and three assists in 13 games so far.

En-Nesyri is a complete striker who can thrive in the Premier League. He is physically strong and has got great mobility.

The best thing about his game is that he is a livewire in the middle, always looking to make runs, and get involved.

The fact that the Hammers were willing to dish out £50m for Raphinha during the January window shows that Moyes will be backed with funds if the right player is available. En-Nesyri ticks all the boxes.

In other West Ham news, David Moyes has spoken about the “mistake” the club made that he is working to prove.
