West Ham relegation chances shift in new supercomputer prediction after Fulham win
West Ham’s chances of being relegated have shifted after their 1-0 win over Fulham on Wednesday.
Crysencio Summerville was the hero once again as the Hammers secured a vital victory at Craven Cottage to go level on points with Nottingham Forest.
The Opta Analyst supercomputer now gives Nuno Espirito Santo‘s side a 55.52 per cent chance of dropping down to the Championship after the result on 4 March.
That is a much better position than the one that West Ham were in a few weeks ago, though.

How much have West Ham relegation chances moved since February?
After their 1-1 draw with Manchester United on 10 February, the London Stadium side were given a 74.81 per cent chance of relegation.
They were at a 69.63 per cent chance of going down by 3 March, and are not at the 55 per cent mark.
So, they have nearly reduced that by 20 per cent in less than a month, which is surely a good sign for those of a claret and blue persuasion.
The outlet now predicts the E20 outfit to finish 18th with an expected points total of 37.20, just below Nottingham Forest’s 38.84.
However, the Irons are still favourites to be the third relegated team, according to the model, as Forest’s chance is only 28.86 per cent.

Why West Ham will believe they can stay up
West Ham will be extremely confident that they can stay in the top-flight, for one specific reason, their form is much better than Forest and Tottenham.
The Londoners sit 10th in the form table with only two losses in their six matches, and have also picked up two draws and two wins in that time.
Forest are 19th in the form table, with three draws and three losses, so that should be encouraging for the East London side.
| Position | Won | Drawn | Lost |
| 10. West Ham | 2 | 2 | 2 |
| 19. Forest | 0 | 3 | 3 |
| 20. Tottenham | 0 | 2 | 4 |
Spurs are even worse, sitting dead last in the form table after losing their last four matches and drawing the other two.
The Hammers look ready for the fight; they have stepped up at the right time, and it may work out perfectly in the latter stages of the campaign.
They just need to keep taking points, ideally three, and they could be right out of danger, if the other teams around them continue to perform so badly.
With nine matches left to play, anything could still happen in the race for survival.
