
West Ham receive Max Allegri answer after talks amid Lopetegui development
West Ham United have spoken to Max Allegri about replacing Julen Lopetegui as their head coach, according to Alex Crook.
However, the Italian tactician is not keen on the idea of taking the reins at the London Stadium in the middle of the season, the talkSPORT journalist wrote on X [5 December].
This comes after it emerged that Lopetegui is set to be in charge of the Irons for their home game against Wolves on Monday [9 December].

Allegri has had an impressive career as a manager, having won 15 trophies. However, the 57-year-old is not what the East London outfit need right now and they must be glad that he does not want to come in during the season.
Graham Potter, who is one of several other managers linked with the West Ham job, would be a better fit despite his failed stint as the Chelsea manager, as explained by Darren Bent on talkSPORT [4 December].
Speaking on the radio station on Thursday [5 December] morning, Jim White revealed that the Hammers have already contacted the Englishman about replacing Lopetegui.
However, the Spanish tactician is confident about turning around for the Irons, with all eyes now on Monday’s game at the London Stadium
Wolves are there for the taking after succumbing to a 4-0 defeat at the hands of Everton at Goodison Park on Wednesday.
Like Lopetegui, Gary O’Neil faces an uncertain future at the Molineux as the Wanderers sit 19th in the table after 14 games.
