West Ham receive massive boost to sign Manchester City defender Nathan Ake
West Ham are looking to bolster their defence this summer, and they have reportedly earmarked Manchester City defender Nathan Ake as a potential option.
According to ExWHUEmployee, the Hammers are keen on signing Ake and Oleksandr Zinchenko from City in the summer transfer window.
The Dutch defender managed only 14 appearances in the Premier League last season (2021-22), but there’s no doubt about the quality of the Premier League winning defender.

West Ham may have now received a massive boost in the race to sign him, after TalkSPORT journalist, Alex Crook has suggested that Ake has been told that he can leave the club.
Newcastle boss Eddie Howe remains a big admirer of the Dutch centre-back and knows him during their time together at Bournemouth.
Pep Guardiola was not willing to sanction a move for Ake during the January transfer window, but the club is ready to allow him to move on.
While the prospect of a reunion with Howe is tempting for Ake, he could find West Ham as an equally attractive destination.
At the London club, he will become the first-choice centre-back alongside Kurt Zouma, and could become a major player for the Hammers going forward.

Ake is known for his composure at the back, and his ability to pick passes. He can hold on the ball and his distributions are brilliant.
He can also play as a left-back if needed. At 27, he is now approaching the peak years of his career, and should look to settle down at a club that can offer him regular game time.
With City ready to offload him, there is now a big window of opportunity for the Hammers to get a deal done for him.
In other West Ham news, we have to be ready to pounce if we want to sign this in-form striker from the French divisions.
