West Ham pursuit of Nikola Milenkovic held up by agents
West Ham have held positive talks with Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic, but agents are reportedly delaying the deal.
According to ExWHUemployee, West Ham remain confident of the transfer going through for the 23-year-old, but it’s far from being done.
There are understood to be different people involved in the deal and they’ve been speaking to different clubs about the Serbian, making this transfer a complicated affair.

On his Patreon page, the reliable Hammers insider wrote, “It appears that talks have gone well with the Fiorentina defender and the club feel confident a deal can be completed. Of course anything can still happen at this point.
“Agents appear to be the people causing the biggest hold ups to why this deal is taking so long.
“Different people involved who have spoke to different clubs. Talks still ongoing.”
Too many delays
Our quest to sign a centre-back this summer has taken far too many twists and turns.
Now, with the agents playing their own game, we’re not expecting this to get done too quickly.
Recently, Sky Sports Italy’s Gianluca Di Marzio reported that we’re still £2.5million shy, but given the nature of how the talks have been going, that doesn’t seem to be the thing holding this deal back.
A sum of that nature isn’t too much in today’s day and age if David Moyes desperately wants a defender and has identified the 23-year-old as the one to help address our defensive woes, then the board must free up funds for his transfer.

Standing at 6ft 5in., the Serbian will give us much needed aerial prowess in both boxes and will offer a potent threat from set pieces.
He will undoubtedly be an upgrade on the players we’ve got at the club and hopefully, his arrival can help spur on the other centre-backs to get better.
Let’s get this one over the line and follow it up by signing a striker before the window shuts.
