West Ham players set for Europa League bonus with contract clauses – report
West Ham are to receive a massive financial boost from the Europa League escapade and could be set to be rewarded with a lot more depending on how far they go in the competition, as per Claret & Hugh.
The Hammers have already received £8million through qualification, winning their group as well as their participation in the round of 16.
They could potentially earn an extra £2.8million should they move past Lyon and reach the semi-final stage.

Finishing as runners up would see another £4.6million added to the kitty with lifting the trophy hauling in a whopping total of £8.6million.
However, the prize money will not go all to the Irons owners with several squad members having Euro clauses penned into their contracts.
Huge
This is what West Ham have been waiting for. For years this club has struggled to keep up with the ‘bigger’ more successful teams with England with the financial side of the game being the decisive factor.
Now that the Irons on pitch performance has improved enough to bring in tens of millions of pounds, Moyes and co can begin to bridge the gap between them.

The owners have absolutely no excuses now not to reinvest into the squad. It was essential that they did anyway with the January horror show a clear warning but with this new money, the fans will expect them to go even bigger in the summer.
It is brilliant news that the prize money isn’t going straight into the owners’ pockets. It is the players who have fought for this all season long and, as they will, they deserve some reward for their achievements.
Hopefully Moyes will be rewarded also because after all, he is the architect of all this success.
