West Ham open talks to sign FC Nordsjaelland attacker Ibrahim Osman as transfer news emerges at London Stadium

West Ham United have opened talks with FC Nordsjaelland to sign Ibrahim Osman this month, according to Sami Mokbel.

The Daily Mail journalist shared on his personal Twitter account (23 January) that the Hammers have opened talks with the Danish outfit to sign the talented 19-year-old.

Ben Jacobs reported on Tuesday (23 January) that Nordsjaelland would expect at least £12.8million but could hold out for £17.1million for their 19-year-old sensation with the Irons now making moves in the market after agreeing a loan deal to sign Manchester City midfielder Kalvin Phillips on loan.

Mokbel posted on Twitter: “West Ham have opened talks with FC Nordsjaelland over a move for winger Ibrahim Osman.”

Osman is a product of the “Right to Dream” academy – the same setup Hammers forward Mohammed Kudus graduated from.

Promising

With Osman’s Ghanaian links, Hammers fans will be hoping that the connection with Kudus can help bring yet another talent to London Stadium before the transfer window closes.

The youngster has brightened up the Norwegian first division since making his debut for Nordsjaelland in February 2023 going on to score four goals and register five assists in 39 appearances.

Although he has not managed to make his international debut as of yet, with several bigger talents pushing him down the pecking order, Osman is a serious prospect and West Ham would do well to capture his signature this month.

It certainly appears as if the East Londoners are moving fast to secure his talented services and given the nature of the current market, Osman could represent a stunning acquisition for the future.

January windows are never easy to make the necessary signings but when a burgeoning young talent becomes attainable, clubs of the West Ham stature would be silly not to pursue.

West Ham

Given the incredible start Kudus has made to life in East London, Tim Steidten has already identified a player the former Ajax man can help mould into another world-beater for West Ham and Ghana.

Tremendous business if the Hammers could seal this move.

In other West Ham news, the club are the most likely to sign a £35million Chelsea ace.
