West Ham now consider Darren Randolph surplus to requirements
West Ham United now consider Darren Randolph surplus to requirements following the arrival of Alphonse Areola, according to Claret and Hugh.
The Hammers will look to find the 34-year-old another club before the end of the summer transfer window, but admit it may be hard to place him in time.
Randolph rejoined West Ham in January 2020 as the first signing of manager David Moyes’ second spell in a £4million move from Middlesbrough on a three-year contract.

Time to move him on
We currently have four goalkeepers on our books, and it is only normal for one to be moved on.
Lukasz Fabianski and Areola are expected to battle for the starting berth, with David Martin set to remain the third choice.
Randolph was expected to provide quality cover and competition for the Poland international after Roberto left, but failed to impress and has not covered himself in glory during pre-season preparations either.
The Republic of Ireland international spent two years during his first spell between 2015 and 2017, making 42 appearances before leaving for Middlesbrough for £5million.

It remains to be seen whether we would be able to recoup some tangible fee for him, but Moyes could do with some additional cash to boost the transfer coffers.
West Ham now boast of two top goalies, and the competition will definitely keep both of them on their toes.
With the position sorted as we look to impress again next season, we expect the club to now bring in reinforcements at centre-back, midfield and in the striking department, and doing that will make this summer a good one in the transfer market.
In other West Ham news, Hammers are ready to offer player highly incentivised contract, Moyes wants him.
