West Ham new manager: Graham Potter twist within hours now expected
West Ham face further competition from Everton to appoint Graham Potter again, according to Sky Sports.
Sky Sports reporter Rob Dorsett claimed (7 January) that further talks with Potter’s representatives from both the Hammers and the Blues are expected in the next 24 hours.
He states that the ex-Brighton boss has held talks with both clubs in recent months on numerous occasions.
Julen Lopetegui is expected to be relieved of his duties after a disappointing season at the London Stadium and the former Chelsea man is understood to be the frontrunner to replace the Spaniard.
West Ham need to move quickly to appoint Potter
If the Hammers have decided that Potter is the candidate that they want to replace Lopetegui then they need to act quickly.
The former Wolves boss is still in charge in East London as it stands and arrived at Rush Green as if business was normal on Tuesday (7 January) according to Sky Sports.
With Everton also interested in Potter that makes the Irons task more urgent as he could agree a deal with them before the Hammers decide to make their move.

Lopetegui is expected to be given his marching orders at some point shortly so what is the point in delaying the inevitable any further?
The East Londoners may as well get it done and go and hire their intended replacement before it is too late and he is snapped up by the Toffees.
It is a shame that it has not worked out for Lopetegui but his position is now untenable, he cannot be allowed to continue with the increasing interest in Potter from elsewhere.
In other West Ham news, Potter could have a sizeable transfer kitty if he is appointed by the Hammers.
