West Ham must sign Aaron Ramsey in January after reported agent talks

West Ham reportedly made an offer to Aaron Ramsey’s agent this summer to lure the midfielder away from Juventus.

According to Italian media outlet Il Bianconero, the 30-year-old was a Hammers target and they even made an offer to his agent, but he ended up staying at the Old Lady in Turin.

However, given the Italian side’s financial struggles, it will not be the worst idea in the world for West Ham to re-emerge as suitors for the Wales international in January.

Ramsey may not be the player he was during his final few years in the Premier League, but he’s still an experienced custodian who knows the league inside out.

He may be a midfielder on paper, but he has played out wide and as a support striker on a number of occasions.

With the Wales international in the side, one knows that he’s going to offer something in front of goal in each game as he possesses a threat whenever he’s in the final third.

Juventus have an array of midfield talent to choose from, and given Ramsey’s age, they could decide to cash in on his services.

Hopefully, the board decides to make a move for him in the coming months and gets him to the London Stadium.

His contract expires in 2023 so he should be available on the cheap and could work out to be a bargain.
