West Ham must not miss out on bargain signing of Ben Brereton Diaz for just £15m

West Ham United are interested in making a move for Blackburn forward Ben Brereton Diaz this summer, according to Claret and Hugh.

The Hammers are in the market to sign a striker ahead of the next campaign in order to provide cover for Michael Antonio who had an injury crisis in the last season.

As per the latest report, Blackburn Rovers are ready to accept an offer of between £12million and £15million and are keen for a deal to be signed off soon.

Diaz possesses everything you need in an excellent forward. He is mostly known for his movement inside the box. His brilliant off-the-ball movement makes it very difficult for the opposition defenders to mark him.

In the 2021-22 season with Blackburn, the Chile international scored 22 goals and provided three assists in 37 Championship appearances. Out of those 37 appearances, only three of them came from the bench [Transfermarkt].

Even though he prefers to play as a centre-forward, he can occupy both sides of the wing due to his blistering pace and dribbling capabilities.

Those characteristics are just what West Ham need going into the next season, especially in the attacking department where there is Antonio there who still has a few years left in him.

Signing a player who already plays for his national team, knows what it takes to deliver in English football and is still just 23-year-old, will be an absolute no-brainer for the Irons, especially if he is available for a price of just £15 million.
