West Ham must beat Manchester United to sign Darwin Nunez
The summer transfer window is going to be massive for West Ham, irrespective of where they finish this season.
The Hammers have made steady progress under David Moyes and they must take the risk to invest big and take the club to the next level.
With Daniel Kretinsky on board, Moyes can expect to be backed with funds. If Declan Rice leaves the club, Moyes will have a massive transfer war chest to operate with, although that option is currently not being considered.

Signing a striker is required and Moyes should do whatever it takes to land Darwin Nunez from Benfica.
According to a report from The Athletic, Manchester United and Chelsea are also keen on the exciting young striker who is scoring goals for fun in the Portuguese League.
With 31 goals already this season, Darwin has been a goal machine for his club. He is fourth in the leading scoring chart just behind Robert Lewandowski (46), Karim Benzema (37) and Sebastien Haller (33).
Portugal newspaper Record (12 April, page 03) has claimed that the Hammers are not out of the picture yet.

Nunez has a £125m release clause in his contract. The report adds that Benfica are willing to negotiate for nearly half the fee of around £66m.
Yes, it means the Hammers need to break their transfer record to sign Nunez, but that’s the price you need to pay to sign a top-quality striker these days.
The 22-year-old has been outstanding in the Champions League this season, where he scored against Liverpool. If Man Utd can lure a player without (potential) European football to offer, why should West Ham feel intimated in the market?
In other West Ham news, the Hammers have scouted a £20m-rated ‘Dangerous’ British striker and want to seal a permanent move this summer.
