West Ham might struggle to sign Jesse Lingard now
West Ham might face a battle to sign Jesse Lingard after Manchester United sacked Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Claret & Hugh report that because the Red Devils have sacked their former striker after a dreadful run of form, the 28-year-old’s future might not be as cut and dry as it seemed.
The England international’s agents were said to be in talks with the Hammers about a potential January move, but could Solskjaer leaving lead to him getting more game time?

Well, it remains to be seen, but the Irons might have a nervous wait to see what happens.
Will Lingard end up at the London Stadium?
Well, even though Solskjaer has gone, Lingard has still called off contract talks with the Red Devils, so you would think that a January departure remains on the cards [Times].
Yes, he could play more between now and January, but it seems almost impossible that he remains at Old Trafford beyond the end of the season.
So, why wouldn’t he just leave in January?
If the Hammers can agree a fee, then bringing him back to the London Stadium should be a very easy deal to complete.

So, though we can see why there could be some concern over Lingard’s potential move to the Irons, we would still think he will likely depart in January.
If that happens then, the Irons should still be in a good position to swoop in and sign Lingard.
He was described as “unbelievable” last season by Andy Goldstein while he was with the Irons, so let us hope he returns [talkSPORT].
In other West Ham news, the Irons are now the favourites to sign a Real Madrid outcast.
