West Ham midfielder Declan Rice high on Manchester City’s radar
Manchester City remain strongly interested in West Ham midfielder Declan Rice, according to The Telegraph.
Last week, The Times claimed that City are unlikely to make a move for the England international who has refused yet another contract deal offered by the club.
Manchester United and Chelsea are also vying for his signature but the Hammers are reluctant to sell him this summer.

Transfer saga
City, who are one of the richest clubs in the world [Forbes], are aiming to bolster their squad in the summer.
They have almost secured an agreement for Erling Haaland and the club are deciding whether to move for Rice if Fernandinho leaves the club.
The biggest stumbling block is the asking price. The Hammers have set a base price of more than £150million for the midfielder, as they are in no rush to sell him.

Rice has two years left on his contract, and the Hammers do have an option to extend his deal for another year.
The club most likely will be open to letting him go in 2023. Rice is loved by everyone at the club, and he wants to play Champions League football, something he can achieve with the Hammers next season if they win the Europa League.
Rice has been hailed as a “phenomenal” player by Karren Carney on the Football Daily podcast earlier this season. He will be a player in demand in the summer, and the transfer saga won’t go away easily.
